This is an 8 step shift register sequencer based off of a Forrest Mims schematic. It is a really fun insturnent to play, and at times, it generates sounds just like you’d hear on your old nintendo, esp. some of the more epic kill scenes in the game. The schematic originally called for 8 potentiometers for the different tones, but it has been adapted so that 2 notes are controlled by a photocell, so the sound pattern is more varied and random and is affected by light. Tone/volume control has been added for more control, as well as a 1/4″ output. This is actively used during performances with ULNAE.
