In 2013 I was learning how to weld and became fascinated with the ability to work with metal by turning it into a molten state. With a ton of research and enthusiasm, I was granted a $1300 stipend awarded to create a lost wax bronze casting facility and to teach a workshop on the entire process of lost wax casting. Funds were provided by the Dallas Makerspace. I was able to create a complete bronze-casting setup for well under the granted budget and built the makerspace a fully functioning small-scale bronze casting setup. http://dallasmakerspace.org/
